Roma announce Jose Mourinho as new head coach

Roma have appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
In a statement the club said: βThe club are delighted to announce an agreement has been reached with Jose Mourinho for him to become our new head coach ahead of the 2021-22 season.β
Roma had earlier announced that current head coach Paulo Fonseca will leave at the end of the season.
Mourinho was sacked from his job at Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the League Cup Final in which Spurs lost 1-0 to Manchester City.
In the days following it was announced that he would be joining up with UK based radio and media platform talkSPORT for the Euros this summer.
He will fulfil duties with the company before taking up his role with the Italian club ahead of the new season.
