Ainsley Maitland-Niles has officially completed his loan move to West Brom from Arsenal for the rest of the season.
The midfielder made his senior debut for the Gunners during the 2014/15 campaign. He enjoyed a successful loan spell with Ipswich Town in the Championship in 2015/16.
Maitland-Niles established himself as a regular first-teamer for the Gunners from the 2017/18 campaign onwards.
The 23-year-old has already made over 120 appearances for his boyhood club. But he has struggled to maintain a regular starting place this season.
Wolves had a bid rejected for Maitland-Niles in the summer but Mikel Arteta refused to let him leave at the time.
The youngster has only started five times in the Premier League this term. He has made 21 appearances in total with most of his outings coming in Europe and cup competitions.
A number of clubs tried to sign the England international on loan on deadline day. Leicester City, Southampton and Newcastle United were all interested in him.
Yet the Baggies won the race to sign him and they confirmed the signing via their official website shortly before the 11:00 pm deadline.
Maitland-Niles is West Brom’s fifth January signing after Andy Lonergan, Robert Snodgrass, Mbaye Diagne and Okay Yokuşlu joined earlier in the window.
