Tottenham are one win away from ending their 13-year trophy drought after seeing off Championship side Brentford to reach the final of the Carabao Cup.
Moussa Sissoko’s first-half header opened the scoring in their semi-final clash before Heung-min Son’s 70th-minute strike booked a trip to Wembley, after Ivan Toney had had a potential equaliser ruled out by VAR for offside.
The evening ended on a sour note as Josh Dasilva was sent off for a high tackle on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, which left the Spurs man with blood and stud marks down his shin.
Jose Mourinho’s side will now face the winners of tomorrow night’s Manchester derby in April’s final, looking to claim silverware for the first time since winning this competition in 2008.
