Manchester United have completed the signing of veteran striker Edinson Cavani on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old has signed a two-year contract and it is thought he will earn around £175,000-a-week at Old Trafford.
United – who will face PSG in this season’s Champions League group stage – have announced Cavani with one hour of the transfer window to go having already signed two other players on deadline day.
Alex Telles, the attacking left-back, was brought in from Porto with young Atalanta winger Amad Diallo Traore, the highly-rated 18-year-old, also agreeing to a future transfer to Old Trafford.
The deadline day arrivals join midfielder Donny van de Beek in Manchester, with the Netherlands international United’s only signing of the summer window prior to today.
