Luis Suarez joins Atletico Madrid for €6m in variables

FC Barcelona announced the departure of Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan striker will sign for Atletico Madrid. The agreement consists of a €6 million payment to Barça, all in variables based on his performance.
Suarez has split opinion in recent seasons but there’s no denying his record at Barcelona.
The 33-year-old won four league titles, the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the Copa del Rey four times with the Catalan giants.
He’s the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all-time and departs after 283 games, 198 goals and 109 assists for Barcelona.

Suarez’s farewell press conference will be held at 12:30pm CEST on Thursday at Camp Nou.
